Itinerary
We will pick you up from your hotel, and then embark on our journey towards the Sacred Valley, where our retreat place is located. We will have some time to get to know this beautiful retreat place in the Andes Mountains. We will then meet our esteemed Andean Maestro from the Q’eros community and our Shipibo Master for the Ayahuasca medicine. We will start our spiritual journey with a Coca Leaf reading ceremony, a special ritual that gives us spiritual guidance, helping to navigate our emotions and find clarity in various aspects of life. In the afternoon, we will engage in the Cleansing Ceremony, which aims to establish a deep connection with nature and yourself. Our Shipibo master will provide an introduction to the plant medicine, explaining what to expect during the session. Following this, we will consume the Ayahuasca brew. The ceremony itself will last approximately 4 to 6 hours. After the ceremony, we will have time to rest.
Today’s itinerary begins with a light breakfast. Following that, we will gather for our final meeting with the Maestro. This meeting will include an integration ceremony, providing an opportunity to discuss and interpret the experiences of the Ayahuasca ceremony. After the meeting, we will proceed to the ceremony — a heartfelt offering to Mother Earth. Led by the Q’eros Master, this ceremony allows us to express deep gratitude for the transformative ceremonies and the retreat experience. We will then board the transportation and make our journey back to Cusco.

FAQ about Ayahuasca Retreat
Ayahuasca is a potent traditional Amazonian plant medicine used in shamanic ceremonies. Typically brewed as a tea, it combines the Ayahuasca vine with other plants containing DMT, resulting in a psychoactive and spiritually transformative experience.
Participating in an Ayahuasca ceremony is a unique and introspective journey. During the ceremony, vivid visions and deep self-reflection are common, with each person experiencing a personalized impact, from purification to insights into personal challenges and a heightened spiritual connection.
Your well-being is our top priority, supported by a dedicated medical team. Traditional music, icaros, played by Amazonian shamans, enhances the transformative experience.
Incorporating Andean ceremonies like coca leaf reading and gratitude expressions, we aim to create a supportive and sacred environment for your spiritual journey, fostering personal growth and healing.

It’s crucial to be in Cusco at least 3 days before the retreat starts. This gives your body time to adjust to the high altitude. If you arrive on the day of the retreat, you won’t be able to join the Ayahuasca ceremony. We prioritize your safety, and arriving on the same day as the retreat could lead to altitude sickness, especially when combined with Ayahuasca.
Ensuring your good health is also important. We recommend consulting your doctor if you have any concerns about your medical history or conditions. Please let us know about any health conditions or medications before booking.
The food rules are here to make sure your body and mind are ready for the Ayahuasca experience, making it safe and special for you. So, two weeks before the retreat, try not to have: pork, alcohol, cannabis, drugs and no spicy stuff. Also, don’t take any prescribed medicines or drugs during this time because Ayahuasca is strong medicine and can react differently with other stuff.
One week before the retreat, it’s a good idea to avoid: red meat, junk food, sweets, soda, dairy, pickled foods and caffeine. And right before the retreat, eat well, but don’t go extreme with diets. Stay in good shape and feel good. For the last three days, maybe cut down a bit on salt, pepper, and oil.
Choose organic food with a bit of salt and sugar. You can have chicken or fish if you want some meat.
The Ayahuasca ceremony is scheduled for the evening, so you’re encouraged to enjoy a light breakfast adhering to the diet restrictions before we come to pick you up. Throughout the day, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and tea. However, it’s advisable to refrain from consuming anything else. This preparation will ensure you’re well-prepared for a positive and enriching experience!
To enhance your spiritual preparation, we recommend setting a clear intention. The plant medicine ceremony can be intense, and having a specific intention acts as an anchor during your Ayahuasca experience, helping you stay connected to your purpose. In the days or weeks leading up to the ceremony, take time to reflect on why you are drawn to Ayahuasca. What do you hope to learn or understand? How do you feel about your life, and what challenges are you currently facing? Crafting intentions based on your reflections can make your experience more personally meaningful.
Nurturing your spirit and mind involves engaging in spiritual practices that deepen your connection with your inner world. Find a peaceful environment, take nature walks, meditate, practice yoga, or explore breathwork. Engage in mindful activities that promote awareness and presence before the retreat begins.
Additionally, some Andean shamans suggest abstaining from sexual activities, including masturbation, two weeks before the retreat. This practice is believed to help conserve physical energy, making it easier to navigate the effects of Ayahuasca during the ceremony.
The purge, which may involve vomiting or diarrhea, is viewed in some traditions as a purifying process, releasing physical and emotional toxins. It is considered a natural and sometimes necessary part of the Ayahuasca experience.
Ayahuasca is not known to be physically addictive. In fact, many participants report reduced cravings for substances like alcohol or tobacco after an Ayahuasca experience. However, it is crucial to approach it with respect and responsibility.
Yes, Ayahuasca is legal in Peru. It is recognized as cultural heritage and respected as traditional medicine.
