Itinerary
This incredible adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Cusco at around 4 am. Our knowledgeable guide and transportation will take you on a 3.25-hour journey to Sicuani, where we’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast. From there, we’ll continue for another hour to the Layo district, followed by a 20-minute drive to the start of the hike.
The trek to the Pallay Punchu mountain of Apu Tacllo spans 3 kilometers and takes about an hour. Reaching an elevation of 4790 m (15715 ft), you’ll be treated to a breathtaking view of the Pallay Punchu of Apu Tacllo.
Upon reaching the summit, we’ll engage in a special Andean ritual— an offering to Mother Earth, guided by an Andean Shaman. This beautiful ceremony, connecting ourselves with nature, lasts approximately 45 minutes.
After immersing ourselves in this captivating experience, we’ll return to our vehicle. En route, we’ll stop in Sicuani for a delicious lunch. We will drive back to Cusco, leaving you with unique memories of an unforgettable journey in the Peruvian Andes.
